Apple apps can be deleted

Hey,
When I enter jiggle mode on my iPhone, I saw this:

I'm sorry, what? Does this mean apple is letting us hide useless, stock apps finally? I'm too scared to press 'x'. Does this happen to anyone else?

Stock apps can be deleted off the phone. It was talked about during the convention on Monday, as well as being talked about on the main page of the forum.

Lots of them can be deleted, but only when you are pretty sure you don't use that feature. It is not possible to replace those stock apps with third party apps in iOS 10 yet.

I would like to know if you delete the contacts app, does it delete the contacts in the phone.app as well?
I always thought it was a redundant app.
