Has anyone here actually signed on for the suit regarding the Bait and Switch tactics on the 3G data plan?

I wouldn’t waste my time.

The only winners in all this will be the lawyers. We’re probably talking millions of dollars for them, while the victims, probably some discount coupon or something.

I suck down gigs and gigs of data watching baseball using MLB at Bat (both versions) and Slingplayer and I've never heard about it from AT&T, no one has said a word at the AT&T store, nothing. If they care at all, they could have fooled me so I don't see a point to it. Either I managed to keep unlimited data or they just don't care and either way I'm not going to help kick AT&T's ass if they're not going to kick mine.

It's not how class action suits work. The lawyers will do all the work. If they win, they will ask iDevice owners whether they want to reap the rewards. You can say - YES - then and get the rewards.

I think the point others are making is that those "rewards" are often a scant pittance in relation to the overall decision...

For instance, there was a Class Action against AT&T for DSL subscribers over false advertising of the speeds... I was with AT&T DSL for nearly 10 years... What did I get after the whole thing was over and done with? $10... The lawyers - several MILLION $... Doesn't really make up for MY loss. What did the lawyers lose?

Clarification. The only winners will be the attorneys for Apple and AT&T. Seen in the light most favorable to the plaintiffs, there is nothing in their complaint--not the public explanation of it at any rate--that is supported by the law.
