Do you think Apple will try to block or brick users Macs who didnt purchase Lion from the app store and got it from the pirate bay?

I ask this because being sold through the app store, apple will be able to track purchases through each users account. Since macs require an apple id, it would be easy for apple to track

FYI i am a registered Dev for both the iPhone and Mac and have access to Lion legally.

It doesn't appear that the installations are actually tracked. You buy it off the store and then that counts as a sale to them, and then you register at the Setup Assistant screen (which can be skipped). The installer doesn't even need the Apple ID to be authorised to do an installation.

They're most likely using that information for demographics and only that.

Apple has never been that big on piracy prevention. Most of their revenue comes from hardware anyway. People have been distributing the developer previews online for a while now, and as far as I know, the only thing remotely close to piracy prevention was that the OS would phone home every once in a while with a diagnostics report. A lot of people blocked it with Little Snitch or some other firewall, but really, it was probably just a diagnostics report.

Which are now disabled by default, outside of crash reporting.
