Anyone else have this problem with Apple Books (see videos) - iPad Pro 11 (2018), latest iPad OS.

No matter what I do, Apple Books never remembers exactly the last location where I was reading. Sometimes it is within a few pages, sometimes it is really far off (30+ pages) but never exactly on the page where I was.

This happens even if I put a bookmark. What's weird is, when setting a bookmark, moving off Apple Books, and moving back, even if 5 or 30 pages off, the red bookmark shows lit up as if it was "on the last page" where I set the bookmark - stays red as I scroll to the latest page. Makes me think this is a bug.

I have always had this happen to me even on my previous iPads (10.5 Pro, Air 3, and now my iPad Pro 11). Just curious if anyone else has this happen or if it is just me.

Thanks!

One thing I noticed in your videos is that it looks like you're swiping to the right and I'm not sure what that is. I don't have the issue you describe though on my iPad Pro 12.9 and I just re-tested it with three books. When I'm done reading, I use the left arrow key in the upper left that returns the book to my library/reading now view. When I reopen from there, it opens to the page I was on previously.

Do you have the scrolling view or turn page view?

I tested what you said - hitting back and returning the book to the library view does save the page correctly.

I also noticed that turning off scrolling view - I can't get it to do the same thing, it remembers the last view.

I think that solves my problem - thank you for replying. :)

If in scrolling view, I will hit back when done reading, but I think I will switch to page flipping reading view as it saves the page exactly every time then.

Yes, I use page turning and not scrolling.
