Ordered 5 iMacs on June 15th...and have been waiting patiently as I am remodeling my office and have 5 new desks for 5 new iMacs that will look awesome in a row. Received 2 of the iMacs today and checked on the rest tonight. It appears 2 more are coming from UPS by Thursday, and that's it. My order shows 5 on the Apple webpage but 2 of them show the same tracking number, so I go and look at my credit card statement online and it only shows that 4 were charged. What the hell? I'm more than pissed and can't wait to call my Apple business dude tomorrow morning. I already have an open house set up for next week and will look stupid to have only 4 of them out on 5 desks. Should have just blanking ordered them myself. Ridiculous.

I mean, isn’t it on your to order them? If only 4 were charged, kindly explain to the Apple guys something got lost in translation? What good does anger do for you at this point? Aside from the not so humble humblebrag..?

Send them your original order confirm email. If there is 5 ordered but they only charged and shipped 4 without a follow up email to explain, let them know in no uncertain terms it needs fixing. Sometimes you can get a company to overnight ship to make up for the mistake (and sometimes not).

Wait times have been a bit ugly for some Apple devices. That can't be helped as sellers can only provide what stock they have. And Apple only manufactures their guesstimate sales forecast (and quarterly results in 2 weeks, I suspect, will show under forecasted sales). But an outright quantity order error by Apple or whoever your purchasing outlet shouldn't have anything to do with tight inventory. (and I find the old saying 'if you want something done right do it yourself' to be spot on much too often).

Well the business guy talked me into ordering through them as then I get like 10% off future purchases this year. I'll be nice and pleasant at first and hopefully he figures something out. At a minimum, they should let me purchase a base system and let me use it until the new one arrives and then be able to return it. We'll see. I've purchased over $100k in Apple products over my lifetime, let's hope they come through.

10% is pretty substantial when it's upper 5 digit/6 digit numbers. However, if you must have the fifth computer then maybe you might have to bite the bullet and source one yourself ASAFP -- probably worth it if your business rep can't come through.
An open house is the very essence of a first impression, you only get one chance for it to be right.

Its good you came here to vent first before talking to your "business dude." It sounds like you know that the best way to get the best result is to work nicely with him. You'll feel better about it too.

Apple business is awesome in my experience.
The best service I have ever had from any company.

Things do go wrong though, so I would just talk it through with them and they will sort it out.

Really, it is their business team that has kept me with Apple this long.......

HP in comparison are a bunch of amateurs and have no clue about customer service.

Well low and behold the other three iMac showed up today. There was an issue with the tracking sent to me from Apple but they all came. Good deal.
Thanks for letting us know. How come the credit card only showed 4 charged? 5 for the price of 4? Now that would be a good deal!

Because it's all about doing a great job and looking cool and modern at the same time.
