I'd like to help, but I honestly have no idea what you're asking about. What is a figure of eight cable?

I'm still clueless here.

Do you mean international adapters for the white power bricks? If so, for what equipment?

Go to the Apple Store (in person or online) and check for the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit. It's US$39 and should supply all you need. You can bring only those plugs you need, and it works with all (or almost all) of the power bricks.

I'm missing what you're asking for - the plugs go directly into the bricks and replace the one that's there now. What do you need the cables for? Extra length? If so, you'll need to just buy a standard adapter kit and plug the end of an extension cored into those.

You should be able to use any old "figur 8" cable that you might have lying around from a portable radio or similar.

That's what my cousin used when we got our iPods from USA to get from the firewire charger brick to the wall socket (while I didn't have to because I had a spare plug from my iBook and don't need the extra length).

It is not an apple specific cable, it is the same frippin' type of cable used by radios, electric shavers, small kitchen appliances which Mitty pointed out back on post #11.

So check locally for Appliance stores, electronics shops, computer stores, hardware stores.

Shift yourself to look for things yourself rather than bleating the same poorly worded question here. As if we know where you are and what shops carry them for you...

I stand corrected. I assumed that you needed cables for one or more of the three laptops you list in your signature, in which case figure of eight cables won't work unless the power bricks are a lot different there.

I still fail to see how a small pack of adapters - generic ones - are harder to carry than a whole new set of cables. Silly me....

buy an electric jug or a toaster cord. they are often figure 8 and frequently white. Or buy a black one and paint it (they sell paint at hardware stores along with power cords)

lexus, for what brick do you need the cables? None of your listed laptops can use one, AFAIK, and, if they can, surely the three brand new laptops each came with one?
