S3 came out too, late, but it's most definitely in their crosshairs. Basically, the bottom line is all major Android OEMs are screwed. They would have to pay Apple $30-50 per phone in license fees thus making their products more expensive. The vast majority of Android phones sold are low to mid range variety with razor thin margins so Apple's tax will basically make their phones unprofitable.

So the Galaxy S3 will go too?

It also only applies to the US phones...you know, where Apple has the biggest market for themselves.
But , those older Galaxy phones such as the Galaxy S 4G...i doubt they are selling many of those anyways. It is a two year old phone. Kinda surprised the Galaxy Nexus wasnt on that list as well since they asked it to be banned once already. I doubt the GS3 is going to be on a list to be banned.

However, it was also reported that people here in the US are snapping up Samsung phones like crazy in anticipation of this ban.

I really doubt it comes to light though. They can ask all they want but there will be an appeal soon.

Im sure there will be more Samsung phones out soon anyways. We already know they have two different Windows 8 phones coming out.
