As the 2008 Macworld Keynote is coming closer we get to hear more and more about the different rumors. Read this article in one of the magzines. Talking about APPLE stepping in the world of camera's and naming their first camera iEye.

Alot of people will be thinking that i may be photoshoped these images but no i read a article in one of the magzines and i took some pics from my iPhone..

The best about this camera is its dimension is pretty much the same as iPhone but not really same . a good factor in this camera is you can also edit movie's with in the camera. Which it has a mini version of iMovie 2007....

The camera is said to be 7.0 Megapixels but the zoom is 3x only.. but still Good Rumors popping out.....

Just a Rumor.... so don't get serious Thought i should share it with all of people...... Thanxs :):apple:

Yo, Apple's already had digicams. If you're going to fake a rumor, at least do a little research. Geez...

Oh, and "hoodspeak" on a forum thread is SO not l33t...

ADD: "The Apple QuickTake (codenamed Venus, Mars, Neptune) was one of the first consumer digital cameras. It was launched in 1994 by Apple Computer and was marketed for three years before being discontinued in 1997"

I can see the Apple ads now: The "cool" pirate with his iEye vs. the uncool, business-like pirate with his regular point-and-shoot. At the end of each ad, the iPirate shouts, "iEye, Cap'n!" and takes a shot with his iEye. Then, an iEye appears on a white background with the phrase "Aye, iEye" written above it.

It'll be a tremendous success among pirate-crazed youngsters.

well i just thought dat i got dis kool info with me so i should share with other people too.... i didnt do any research or anything just thought of posting n sharing :)

How about the iCam, or the iSnap, or even the iShoot. But WHY the iEye? Lame name!

I'm pretty confident this isn't going to happen at MW. We're already going to see some MacBook(s) announcement(s), and there are rumors of other more important product updates as well. Apple can't stretch themselves too thin by entering yet another product category.

why not u give me lessons dude .... Mr. Perfect

It's not about speaking English at an above average (or perfect) level. It's about speaking English at least at an average level.

i bet it takes you longer to type in 'hood' then it would to type in english.

thanks for the info. next time just write like a normal human being.

Just to clarify

I have that copy of Mac | Life, and yes, it was included in a section of mockups of products the writers wanted, ranging from the likely to the unrealistic, from rumored to pure speculation. Going through the article, there does not seem to be *any* intention for this to be anything more than speculation.

Arrrgghhhh me hearties is that an iEye we be spyin'

Avast ye mateys I think this will sell very well with the pirate market that Apple has never catered for ;)

lol. I just pictured these words coming from the Simpsons Sea Captain.

Arrr...

looks neat, but i'd rather see an iphone w/ 3+ mp camera w/ flash+auto focus+vid recording capability.

The article seems to claim 720p video recording (hmmm) and 12GB of storage - an unusual amount although the latest SDHC card is only 12 as opposed to 16GB. This is of course pointless. Current video cameras offer far longer zoom ranges and you need that for video, you can't just shoot everything close up. The shape is fine for a camera but you wouldn't want to point that at someone for any given length of time.

This looks like a fun product mock-up with some very wishful thinking thrown in. It would of course be nice to see a camera with 3x optical zoom and a flash on the back of the iphone, especially if it were capable of recording video. Frankly I couldn't care for 7MP. I'd be happy with 2-3MP with flash and zoom as those are what make the camera actually usable (oh, and high dynamic range, effective high ISO shooting, low noise, a lens that can resolve to the same resolution as the sensor etc).

I remember this; it's not a 'product leak' or a rumour at all, it was an article in Mac Life where they basically made theoretically plausible (but in no way expected) Apple products...

I mean, how likely are we to see the Apple-Audi car at MacWorld 2008?

I followed the link and was told to wait for a message from Mac Life's sponsors - an advert for a Vaio. Hmmm, I guess Apple don't feel any need to promote their own products on the site but it struck me as somewhat ironic nonetheless.
