I recently had a couple interviews for this position at my university.
I don't even know if i have the job yet, but I am curious and want information from those who have done it recently or who just got hired for 2012!
For me it started off by applying on Apple's Website and i answered some questions and put my resume in there. I got an email a few days ago that said we would like to interview you and ask you more questions etc... please select an hour time slot when we can call you. So I did. My (hopefully soon to be boss) called me from Cupertino and interviewed me with typical questions such as, why do you want to be a rep? What do you bring to the program? How would you handle a difficult situation since you'd be on you're own? Etc... So i think that went okay, she said that someone would contact me within a few business days to set up another interview.
I got an email later that night from a regional Apple HiED rep. I called him the following day and he interviewed me on a more personal level and asked me University specific questions, such as what groups i'm in and do i have good relationships with the faculty on campus etc... I thought this interview went really well. He told me that he doesn't make the decision and the Boss in Cupertino does, however he gives her his input. He also said he did not know when the final decision would be made...
So here i am waiting and really hoping i get the job.
This is for those of you thinking about being an Apple Campus Rep. Good luck! And if you have more questions you can ask, I also hope there are past Reps on here that can provide more info!
Thanks!
also, everyone asks what perks do you get and what not. I know you get a free macbook pro to do your job, also you get paid around 10 bucks an hour and work 15 hours a week.
