For high end executives etc.. I can see the right marketing for this would do well. Mac Pro/4K monitor "luxury executive workstation" would sell like gangbusters to High level executives etc..

The workstation looks like a work of art and would command a nice presence on the desktop with a 27 inch 4K workstation along side the Bloomberg terminal.

Unfortunately that happens a lot. The PC clueless Exec with a high end powerhouse machine wasting away idle while the real workers get the low end machines. I'll never forget telling a certain CTO during a production outage that I was still waiting for my machine to load some tools, it was too bad the outage was much longer then it needed to be since we purchased such crap PC's for the IT staff and bought the best of the best for exec's that weren't even in the office 99% of the time and when they were all they did was check email!

Anyway, glad I don't work there anymore!

Yea....Those spreadsheets and calendar apps really need such a powerful machine

It's not about power it's about projecting power. With the new Mac Pro.

What apple needs to do is a little product placement. And it will sell like hotcakes.

I would love to see Big Mac Pro sales, because that would at least insure the option will always exists.

You honestly think that in todays day and age, showcasing a computer as an executive machine is going to appeal to anybody not in the top 2%. "You too can have way too expensive things that you aren't using!"

Apple is not that tone deaf

I don't know if that's true. at least at the apple centric companies (2) I'm familiar with.
the partners have mb airs while the designers have the mac pros.

the executive should get one of these

not overkill on power but still a nice way to use up money
