One thing that I absolutely love about Android over Apple is that Android phones have apps that can change settings or do custom actions for you depending on things like your location, time of day, whether you have an appointment, whether you plug something into your phone, etc.... Apple's iOS can't do this since it is so inflexible and can't adapt to this kind of usage. With my iPhone, I used to have to worry about putting my phone on silent when I'm at work and turning wifi/cellular data/bluetooth on and off so that I didn't drain the battery where I had poor reception.

With Android, I can automate these tasks with various location profile apps like Llama, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kebab.Llama&hl=en. With Motorola phones, I believe they have something similar built in by default.

It makes using a smartphone so much more pleasant than what I had to deal with when I used an iPhone. With an iPhone, I would have to worry and think about it. With Android, I can just relax. The more I look back at Apple products, the more I see that they are convoluted and unnecessarily hard to use for common tasks.

I used Tasker extensively on Android, and it's a great app. One of the best.

However, on iOS I don't need to constantly enable/disable settings when needed to conserve battery life. I just leave everything on all the time, so there's no need for these profile-type apps.

The only thing I have to do now is set my phone to silent when I go to bed, and set it to loud when I get up (or when I leave work on a weekday). Not really an inconvenience.

With my iPhone I had to worry about the battery since it could drain up to 15% over the course of work day just sitting there since the reception was bad.

Mine probably does that too, at least, but with a few texts and calls here and there.

15% over 8 hours isn't a problem for me though as I charge the phone every night.
