They need to put some marketing on my precious pronto. I feel like it's dying. The apps are all lackluster and frankly with some of these "apps", I might was well just use the website.

Waiting until Nov. for iOS 4 is just plain crazy. Way too long. What ever they are adding (if they are even) can just be given to us as an update 4.x and gives us iOS 4 now. My iPad is SCREAMING for multi-tasking. Alot of apps on my iPad are really useless without multitasking (ie Pandora, instant messagers).

And for starters, update the freakin Photo app. It's ridiculous I can't re-arrannge the photos or make "folders" for them. I want to do more with photos on the iPad than just look at them.

The App Store for iPad is just plain boring, confusing and hard to find stuff. Fix it.

Why are they streesing how old age tech such as email looks so pretty on a 2010 device. Apple needs to be thinking how their apps can more interact with Facebook & Twitter and whatnot as well. Email is cool, but FB/Twitter is where it's at.

Where's the Facebook app? I can't even add pics to my Facebook. Not Apple's problem, but still.

i agree with you, but what can we do? this iphone 4 business can't be good for ipad software development, and if you believe the rumors of additional ipads in different sizes, it shows that the success of the ipad as it currently is is not going to force apple to change anything sooner than later.

if you want multitask jailbreak it. as for apps, 90% of the time i use ipad as a web browser. i think that is by far the most used function for ipad, so developers like facebook aren't really interested in an app which basically just mirrors the functionality and style of their website. on iphone's 3.5 inch screen apps are needed to make better use of it's smaller screen. not as needed on ipad's much larger screen.

i hope i'm wrong, but ios4 for ipad doesn't seem to be a priority given it's success.

You need to remember that the current OS was designed for a handheld device, where multitasking isn't a high priority.

If you wait until November it will come.

I still think ipads are selling pretty good. So, what is this about again?

It is unbelievable that Apple does not provide any sub categories to sort the apps in. If you want to find an app that isn't "new" or "hot", then apparently you are supposed to go through all 3268 pages. A bit more organization, please.

E.g., subcategories for games should be FPS, RTS, board games, flight sims, tower defense waanna bees, strategy games, etc.

I'm actually looking forward to them fixing the annoying lack of Safari page cacheing more than multitasking, though that will be welcome too.

They've fixed it. If you watch the WWDC Safari State of the Union, their demo iPad doesn't reload constantly.

It's been months. I don't understand the hold up for 3.2.1 either. I hope 3.2.1 supports the new retina display resolution for iPhone apps too.

not that i'm desperate for multitasking but at least an alarm clock should work:rolleyes:

iphoto needs to be updated. i hoped I can use my ipad to go over my 9000 pictures and rank and sort them whenever i have some spare time. but all i can do is stare at them:rolleyes:

the app store needs some better search function and groups of apps to make it easier to find interesting stuff.

i don't give a rats ass about twitter and facebook. improve the mail app. let me use aliases for sending and such. color codes, flags, reminders, get rid of the stupid floater in the portrait orientation, have a real four line preview and and and.....

well, there are millions who like twitter and facebook. so get clients for those if it has to be.........

and if you're at it: please allow for mirroring to projectors with the vga adaptor from every app. most developers don't implement video out. giving a powerpoint presentation with the ipad is a pain. keynote doesn't show presenter tools and such. video out on other apps is slow and lags.

I have every indication there is something spectacular about the implementation of iOS 4 coming in the Fall. Think about all the clues and unfinished business, the calm before the storm.

What will multitasking look like? The rumors were that app switching would look like Expose. Perhaps they were speaking of the iPad instead. How will the MobileSafari change on the iPad?

What about Steve's ominous comments after the iOS 4 announcement? It's awfully coincidental that Apple would want to preemptively purge the app store of "widget-like" applications—Apple may not want the two user experiences to get confused. Kindle.app competes with iBooks.app on the same ground. What if there were a competitor to "Springboard"—the homescreen of iOS? I'm sure Apple would be quick to keep that App out of the store.

And what about Steve's e-mail about file printing? What would the implementation of this look like? Would there be a new API for developers to implement? Would dye-sub printers be supported, and could you plug them up to your USB adaptor? Print your pictures directly?

What about iPad photo management? The creation and organization of photos would be simple, if you put the "folders" behavior to use: drag one photo on top of another and it turns into an album. I'm not the first to say this on the forums.

Expect an announcement and a new release of the SDK within a month's time. Steve said told me about it in an email—

Look to my coming, at first light, on the fifth day. At dawn, look to the East.

Well it seems like this year will be a year where Apple releases the Macs 11 months after the last update, as they have been doing in a trend over the last 5 years. Along with the iPod Touch offer with the new Macs with education ending around the 5th of September, they'll probably release everything in bulk.

:apple:

Just let them send update to fix the wifi problem! I would be happy that for now. The dam thing drops the connection all the time and I have done all the suggested settings. In fact it just dropped while I was typing this.
