so, I have a fun situation.

I have two separate Apple IDs.

One I use for iCloud, one for purchases. This started because iCloud didn’t exist when I created my purchases ID and I had hundreds of dollars in iTunes purchases on it. So here I am with two Ids

However, I suspect because of this, that I can’t enable Apple Card for Apple purchases, for either if this IDs. Strange that it doesn’t even show as an option for my iCloud account, where I pay for storage.

Any ideas how to make this work? I’d like the 3% cash back if possible.

I have the same set up - one AppleID for iTunes purchase (that predates iCloud as it currently exists... the ID was actually created with MobileMe [...@me.com]) and another for everything iCloud related... the email address of the iTunes AppleID is my preferred email address, but when I applied for the Apple Card, I was told to submit the request with my iCloud AppleID, which I did. I got the invite and was approved in seconds... are you already using Pay with another card? If so, you should already be logged in with that AppleID and should be apple to apply for the Apple Card with that AppleID.

Turns out both accounts have to have two factor authentication enabled. One had it. The other didn’t.

With that setup it’s good to go now and both accounts can use Apple Pay for payment.
