I was thinking about getting the Apple Card with the new promo that is going on of $50. I’m just unsure of how the card and the cash work. When I use the Apple Card, I get cash back, does that go to the cash account? To set up a cash account do you need a debit card as I do not have one but have no plans of sending money in the messages app. Thanks.

You can use Apple cash for purchases or to pay your Apple Card Bill, you will have to associate Apple Cash with a bank if you desire to transfer the cash for other uses.

Do you have to enter a debit card even though I don’t plan on sending cash through it? I read somewhere that a debit card is required to set up Apple Cash and use it.

You only need to enter a debit card if you want to add money to it. I tried to add my card but I can’t since my bank doesn’t support Apple Pay. I think you do have to enter in your bank info though. That allows you to transfer money from the card to your bank account, but it won’t work the other way around.

So you were able to set up the Apple Cash card without a debit card then? You have both the Apple Card and Apple Cash card? Thanks.

And with your bank account info you are able to transfer the daily cash you earn their or apply it as a bill credit? That’s the way it sounds to me.

That’s what it sounds like. I haven’t done it yet and I haven’t done anything yet to get the bonus.

Will you be doing it soon? At least before the end of the month lol. Can you let me know how it all goes when you do it?

Ok here’s a partial update. I bought a $3.00 app late yesterday evening. So far I don’t have the cash on the Apple Cash card in the wallet but I think there’s a couple of reasons for this. It says it’s still pending for the CC transaction. I think I remember reading that has to clear first before you get the cash. The purchase said it qualifies for the daily 3% cash Bach and for the $50 bonus. It might take a hair longer since I did it late Saturday and it was Independence Day.

I recently signed up for Apple Card. Bought an Apple Watch. I see the 3% Daily Cash that I earned. I want to use the Daily Cash against my bill. Can I do that without an Apple Cash Card? I thought I read that I can. Now I can't find it.
