So, I received an email from Apple Card services on June 4 asking me to verify charges to AliExpress

As I have never been on that site, I immediately contacted customer support (via their text message system):

After about 30 minutes of texting, card services informed me that they had initiated a dispute and the charges would be removed from my account pending their investigation

Fast forward to this morning when I woke up to 14 emails from Apple Card services asking me to verify AliExpress charges

I then contacted Apple Card services regarding the charges and basically went through an inquisition:

I realize they have a script but I answered all their questions preemptively in my initial text

Why people bother with the shenanigans of Goldman Sachs and the Apple Card is beyond me. Those of us who bother to research a bit and recall history (2008 financial crisis) warned people that this card being affiliated with GS would very likely not be a good experience. Many are now learning we were correct.

I just contacted them again to confirm that ll the charges have been disputed and they told me they do not see that they were disputed - now I have to call in WOW

Once they resolve this (assuming they are capable and interested in doing so), cancel your card. Who needs this BS. Go with a card with an honest company with experience in running a credit card business. I would dump Apple as well as they were the fools with poor judgement who partnered with GS.

Can’t all of these things (disputes and card number changes) be done in the Wallet app without texting or talking to customer service?

No, when you click to dispute it it takes you to the text messages

I had to call in and speak with the fraud department who confirmed that the two prior agents had failed to actually put the disputes in
