I have had my Apple Card since the day it launched and twice now in a matter of weeks, a over seas company has tried charging my card.

The first one was on 10/9 by a company called Teleperformance for $285. Luckily Apple declined the charge and cancelled my card number. So I had to call Goldman Sachs to get the new card number issued, and the very next day the same company tried charging again for $$71.58 but was declined due to card number was replaced.

Now another over seas company tried charging me, Hostelworld for $93.93 using the same old card number.

First time I have had issues with the Apple Card. Made it a pain, because I have the PS5 on Pre Order, so had to change the billing info to ensure my PS5 ships on launch day lol.

Anyone else get scam charges from overseas on theirs?

I have had about 20 fraudlent charges on my card since day 1. It's been an awful experience. Worst credit card ever.

I cancelled my Apple Card today because of similar problems. Back in September several fraudulent charges appeared from Amazon (my Apple Card isn't even linked to my Amazon account) and there we no similar orders on my Amazon account. After re-issuing my card number I saw several subsequent charges that were rejected. Dealing with Goldman is a pain....you start through the wallet, chat with them, end up having to wait for a call back, etc. Then, the 1 charge that triggered my checking was in a pending state, so it couldn't be immediately resolved. Then they issued a temporary credit after a couple of weeks. Today I received notice that the issue had been resolved in favor of the merchant, but Goldman couldn't tell me how long it would take to get the documentation that resolved in in their favor, nor how I would get it. Perhaps email, perhaps snail mail. I really don't have any confidence in the security offered here.

This can happen with any card. It’s happened twice on an Amex card I have and three times on a couple of Visa cards. The customer service in disputing those charges was amazing and quick with Amex. The two Visas issued through Chase and Wells Fargo less so, but they were resolved to my satisfaction eventually.

I don’t think this has anything to do with the Apple Card itself, but it doesn’t surprise me that Goldman takes awhile to resolve disputed charges as I believe they’re fairly new to the credit card game. That said, they sound pretty closely in line with experience I’ve had with some other banks. I had an ATM short me $200 (literally dispensed no cash on a withdrawal) and it took Chase nearly four weeks to fix it and even then only after I went in to a physical branch and spoke with the branch manager.

I just had a charge show up this morning for $97.43 at the apple store using Apple Pay. Should be easy enough to figure out. My last purchase at the apple store was my Apple Watch S6 on 9/15. I have not used the card since then. GS said that it’s one of 2 things, either I made the purchase or someone got my Apple ID and password. Thing is, if it was purchased using my Apple ID, the card should still be secure. Having worded for a credit card issuer, my thought is that GS applied the transaction to the incorrect account. I literally watched football all day and didn’t leave my house or use any of my apple devices. Hoping the dispute goes through. Not very confident in GS at this time.

After having several purchased charged on Amazon when there was absolutely no way my card info could have been secured and given that I am still fighting with GS on getting these charges removed, I made the right decision closing this account a while back.

That amount sounds like the sales tax on an iPhone using the Apple Card as an installment or using Citizen's One Loan....

I'd keep a close eye on further charges.

Similar thing happened to me. Fraudulent charge for some train in Pakistan. Apple or whoever flagged it and I got a notification. New number issued but I did see some other attempted charges for the next couple weeks. I’m sure this could happen with any credit card.
