I am not getting them. Seems hit or miss. Today bought food at McDonalds with Apple Watch using Apple Card/Apple Pay. No notification yet.

Apple website says you will get Instant Notifications on EVERY purchase.

Messaging with Goldman Sachs they said only on suspected fraud purchases. That's not true.

So, just wondering if anyone else experiencing this.

I did reboot iphone and all Notifications are turned on.

Thanks

BTW it did show in Wallet/Apple Card immediately.

I'm not getting instant notifications either. I either don't get them, or get them 6+ hours later. What's weird though is that I got an instant notification when I used the physical card at a POS terminal.

Yeah, just used physical card at Drive thru and instant. But, with Apple Pay this morning never got one. I am going to note when/if I get them and how late they are. Plus, if certain transactions are, or are not instant. One of the reasons I got the card was for the security. Enrolled in the Theft/Fraud Protection program. Goldman Sachs rep was clueless today. Guess they are learning too.

And, just to repeat from my first post Apple says every transaction will produce a Notification.

Concerning Apple Card (physical card), all purchases result in instant notification. Seems like they got the physical card part working as intended.

Not sure about Apple Pay.

Thanks Velin. Going to Kroger’s this morning and using their App to pay on their scanner at checkout. Will see if that is instant. Also, need time to see if each payment method is consistent. You have Apple Pay. Swiping the Card. And using it in Apps and online. Each method gives a different last four card number on your receipt.

Also, wondering if Apple Pay doesn’t generate a Notification since I verify with Face ID on iPhone and am signed in on watch.

Used at Starbucks and got the Instant Notification on Watch with Apple Pay. So, not sure why it didn't work at two previous McDonald's purchases. Also, with the Watch. I did reboot my iPhone a couple days ago.

Oh well, will just monitor for awhile to see the trend. Thanks for the replies---

Is it possible that they didn’t charge you instantly?

Not sure if that makes sense, but I used my card on amazon the other day and it didn’t notify me until hours later. Perhaps McDonalds doesn’t put the charge in for a few hours?

No the charge was in Wallet just no notification. Been getting them after I rebooted. If, that was even the problem. Maybe just growing pains.

A lot of the "delays" are probably due to the processing of the location where you used the Card (either physical or electronic) and Apple/GS can't control that. Until the bank of the store/website sends the information to Apple/GS it can't be posted or any notification because Apple doesn't know about the charge. We moved to NJ a few years back and the bagel store where I usually have breakfast drove me crazy. I was using a debit card to pay for breakfast and when the charges appeared on my bank's website, the dates were all screwed up. Because their owner did not clear/balance his terminal everyday, but a few times a week.

Not sure if the Notifications are tied to the actual posting. I know that can take awhile since we wait on the Apple Cash payments till purchase posts. The last two days they have all been instant. Hope it continues. It was that way when I first got the Digital/Physical Card. Liking everything about the Apple Card so far, fingers crossed-----:)
