I made my first return with the Apple Card today & had a couple of quick questions

The rep just scanned the receipt & said the refund will go back to the MasterCard. I didn’t tap my phone or anything. I read (AFTER the fact) that there was a device number I was supposed to supply during the return??

Is this device number necessary to process the return? I’m slightly concerned now, but has anyone had experience doing a return to a physical location using the Apple Card & you didn’t supply that device number?

Did your refund still get processed in a reasonable amount of time?

I don't have an Apple Card, but I'm going to say you're fine. The bank knows what number goes to what account and will be able to process the return properly. Especially since returning to the card used for the purchase is a requirement from Visa and MasterCard imposed on merchants.

Thanks for your response! You’re right! I actually just checked and the refund was processed :)
