I’m trying to change my default payment for iCloud storage and iTunes/AppStore/music subscription. Unfortunately, I’m one of those people who ended up with two Apple ids back in the day, one for iCloud and another for iTunes. Initially, Apple Card was found in the wallet app on the payment info screens of both accounts (iCloud and iTunes). I added Apple Card to my iTunes account as default payment, but when I went back to try and change my iCloud payment to Apple Card, it is no longer seen in the wallet app. Is this a bug, or a limitation of Apple Card? God I so wish Apple would just let us merge accounts already ffs. Any advice to get the card onto both accounts as payment?

start using your iCloud ID for everything and use Family Sharing to share the iTunes ID purchases with the iCloud ID

I have years of purchases with my original Apple ID on iTunes and App Store before iCloud rolled out. It was then that many of us ended up with a second Apple ID.

Quick screen cap. Before adding Apple Card to my iTunes account, it showed here in iCloud payment too under “FOUND IN WALLET”. As you can see, it no longer shows. I think I could just put in the card details manually, but that isn’t the point. I hope this is a bug and not a limitation of the card.

That works. I am in the same situation as you.
In general it doesn’t matter which Apple ID you use.

To get the cash back benefit you simply use the card as your source of Payment for theses services.

Yes, this I am aware. I think you may be missing the point here though. I have two iCloud accounts.
Account 1 has been used since the iPhone 3g to purchase apps, music, movies.

Account 2 was created later (which many did thanks to how Apple implemented it) and is now used for iCloud services such as storage.

Now if you go and look at payment and shipping in either of these two accounts BEFORE Apple Card IS added to one, it will be shown under “FOUND IN WALLET”. Once Apple Card is added to one of these accounts then it will no longer be shown under “FOUND IN WALLET” for the other account. Now I suppose I could add the card manually, but this goes against the ease of use Apple Card is meant to offer.

No, I haven’t yet tried putting in the credit card info. I don’t really want to do it like that as it should just be able to be seen under FOUND IN WALLET. I’m leaning toward this being a bug, along with the fact that I can actually add any form of payment found in wallet to iCloud.

Sorry I see what your saying. Ya it does list the card being supported in the App Store and iTunes so you think it would recognize the digital version saved on the phone.

I'm having exactly the same problem. Hopefully Apple will sort this out.

Edit: So I was able to add the Apple Card as default payment method for the separate iTunes Apple ID, but only from my phone. Initially I was trying to do this from my iPad and though the Apple Card is visible in my wallet there, it was not available as a payment method for iTunes content.

Now that I added it on the phone I see it there on the iPad.

I gave in and added the card manually to my second account. Even this was a bit more troublesome than expected because I had to call Apple to remove some sort of security lock that prevented me from adding a new form of payment.

I have the same Problem because back in the days of MobileMe I was forced to maintain two apple IDs.

If you add the card manually instead of using Apple Pay, do you actually get the 3% Apple cash back? Or is it just 1% (because it’s considered just another MasterCard?).

So I had to add the card manually to my Citizens One loan for the iPhone upgrade program and I get the 3% cash back on that. So, I’m confident so long as it is for an Apple service or product, the 3% cash Back applies regardless how the card information is provided.

I logged out out iCloud on my phone and logged in. Then, all my cards were gone and I had to re-add them (including the Apple Card). After that, I was able to use it to pay for iCloud storage.

I have two different Apple ID's as well. One for iTunes and one for iCloud. I had no problem changing my default payment card to my new Apple Card. I just went into my iTunes account, selected payment type and it showed "Add Payment Card" and it says you can have more than one payment card if you want. I clicked on add a payment card and one of the choices right there was my new Apple Card. It was just there as a choice. I just clicked on that and it made it the default card. I didn't see any "Found in Wallet" options. The Apple Card was just there as a choice, I selected it and deleted the other card I previously had. I did not have to enter any card details manually.

Yes. Two apple IDs and the card used for both.

I think it’s just a bug that it doesn’t show up first.

This still isn’t fixed. All my cards show up in “Found in Wallet” except for the Apple Card. Though it works fine in iTunes/App Store. I wish Apple would fix this. I’ve already reported it a few times. Anyone find a solution who has two Apple IDs?

Logging out of iCloud, restarting my phone, and logging back in fixed this for me. Thanks for the tip.
