I will probabaly get my iPhone x on 28.November.2017. And now I get a email saying that my applecare+ will end 12.November.2019. I am in Austria.

Does anyone have similar issues also in US? I remember that my macbookpro was also several weeks short of apple care coverage because Apple always starts the timer when the product is made. I just let it go.....

Any opinion?

Wondering if ordering AppleCare+ after receiving the iPhone will start the clock at the day I receive the iPhone?
Or maybe one has to go to an apple store to get this advantage?

Is this legal? Can this become a class action lawsuit???

Thanks in advance!

Yes its extended by one year. So you get two years.
It seems unfair to start the clock when i don't have the product yet. So I am paying for 2 years but actually only get 2y-17 days of service.

Oh I see what you are saying. Nah im sure it starts when you receive the iPhone. If it doesn't I'd phone up apple and they should put it right for you.

I am in Canada but when I purchase AppleCare+ it backdates to purchase date. If you had to wait two weeks after purchase to receive it, I would call Apple about changing the start date for AppleCare+

That is just a placeholder date, your real date will start when you receive the phone. You can call AppleCare and they will change it.

Probably a placeholder date. I believe it doesn't actually start until the day you activate your phone for the first time.
