I am planning on buying a Macbook Pro soon and I want to get the extended warrenty but buying the apple is going to tap most of my spending cash. My question is will I be able to buy the AppleCare Protection Plan after I have purchased my apple?

I've been considering getting this for my MBP too. Just that being a regular kid shelling out another 350$ is alot, I'd rather spend it on upgrades to the P.C.

Just one thing, when I was ordering my MBP and the guy on the phone asked if I wanted extended Applecare I told him I was planning on buying it later in the year, and he offered me a good discount if I bought it there and then.

Yup, rumbletum has it right. You get something like $50 off if you buy at the same time as you buy your Mac.

Thanks for all the advice. I'll tell them I want to wait and if they give me a price break I'll concider it otherwise I'll just wait.
