Apple Care+ start date

Just ordered a new iMac today with AC+ and won't receive it until about April 14. Does 3 years start today, when it's shipped or on the day of delivery? Hopefully it's when I get it thus 10 more days of coverage; surely they receive delivery confirmation.

Applecare coverage and warranty starts when the iMac is purchased (purchase date).

Wouldn’t it be better then to order Apple Care after the computer arrives? Sure I know 10 days isn’t much but I would be livid if something died in that window after AppleCare expires lol

Doesn't matter. Apple Care + starts on the date the device was purchased, not when you decided to buy Apple Care +.
