new m1 air in march, apple is refusing extended care on line saying if not in 60 days .....not available, having having 4 other apple products this is the first time hearing this ......in the past have always waited to purchase extended warranty due to the device cost ........anyone know whats going on with apple care ?.........thanks

Says right on the AppleCare+ product page you need to purchase within 60 days of your Mac purchase.

Yeah, I got bitten by that back in 2020. Tried to register for AppleCare right after purchase but they were having issues and two different credit cards wouldn't work. Forgot about it, and by the time I remembered the 60 day limit had passed.

But.... three and a half years later and no problems, so it saved me some money. :)
