I would like to buy an apple laptop, but would like to buy one that is cheeper. Has any one had any experiance with Apple Certified Refurbished Computers? or is it just best to buy a new one?

Thanks for any help

I've ordered a refurbished G3 iMac and a G4 iMac from Apple. Great deals, although the G4 arrived with some dirty fingerprints on it.

Any refurbs bought in USA for Canada?

I'd really like a 12inch iBook, the US$ refurb price would be a great saving - has any Canadians on the board done this?

EDIT: Did a bit more digging into the Apple.com site. Seems they only delivery within the USA, accepting only USA credit cards. :( No refurb options in Canada :(

They are a good option if purchased direct from Apple.com, they come with an Apple warranty. A refurbished computer from any other seller however is not likely to be covered by Apple at all.
