I am using the CAC-1510-A adapter (HDCP off version) to connect a 23-inch Apple Cinema Display to a M2 Mac Studio on macOS Sonoma 14.7.2. Also, a 27 Dell monitor is connected via USB-C as primary display.

The adapter is working fine. However, sometimes the Apple Cinema Display remains black when the display turns into Lock screen. When I get back from a 20-30 minutes break, the Apple Cinema display is recognised just fine. However, when I am away for 1-2 hours and both displays are in Lock Screen, the Apple Cinema Display remains black, but still shows up as secondary monitor in System Preferences. Unfortunately I have to constantly reboot the Mac Studio or unplug the adapter. That is pretty annoying. Is this known issue? Anyone else experience this issue? What can I do?

I have this issue with the same adapter on a 30 inch ACD I recently acquired. I just settled with turning the monitor on and off with it's power button instead of waiting the couple of minutes it takes for the monitor to wake from sleep.

Thanks, when I try to press the power button next to the ACD, the display remains black.

I used CAC-1510-A with ACD 30“ and 23” and M1 Studio Max with no problems on Sonoma up to version 14.7 and now on 15.2. So, looks like the M2 is the problem?
