Apple Cinema Display will not activate camera

With El Capitan, I cannot get my 24" cinema display over display port to allow the camera to work. On FaceTime it is forced to my MBA, and when I force it to iSight by opening photo booth, the machine locks up, and usbp resources go through the roof, and activity monitor goes 100% cPU.

Can anyone advise if there's is working on 24" or 27"?

Thanks, oh- and I would love a fix if you have one.

Rebooted, PRAM, and SMC, yep.

Maybe report bug to Apple? A lot of hardware is going to have problems with the the new OS X... But you would think that apple stuff would at least work...
