Hello,

I have bought original Apple Clear case in Apple Store for my iPhone 14 Pro Max.

I notified some small chips when I took of this case on a frame.

I keep always my phone and case clean.

Is that normal that wearing original Apple Case there could appear small chips, which I can see only under high light?

Regards,
Jakub

I had a Caudabe clear case that did that to my daughter’s 12 Pro. I use Caudabe all the time but that one time it just didn’t work out. It was similar to the Apple Clear case except it covers the bottom of the phone and Apple’s didn’t. At least not for the 12 series.

I have had the Apple Clear case for the iPhone 12. I honestly didn’t think it was the right case for me since I change cases and it’s when you put them on or take them off that you can risk scratches especially on the very highly polished steel sides.

Do you know for sure if there is a scratch? I only ask because sometimes what looks like a scratch can be something picked up from something else that can be gently rubbed out. I had the Apple clear case for my 13PM and didn’t have issues with scratches.

Yes, small chips on a frame. I will ignore that. This is normal usage.

What color? as someone else asked above

If silver that will scratch super easy. The rest it shouldn’t. If you have some photos would help with the discussion

Same thing happened to me , on my 14 pm deep purple , i removed the case to clean it and noticed small scratch near the ringer button and a small dot like chip a little over the power button . Getting the apple clear case was not a good idea , should have just used it without the case .

I noted after usage for some time that original clear case scratches edges of steal frame. There are chips on whole edges of frame. Noticeable under strong light.

Yeah they let a lot of dirt and debris in. It's the one negative thing about clear cases, and not just from apple. The silicone and leather cases from apple are sealed pretty well. I would suggest one of those.

I dont’ use my apple clear case as much, but this issue above is probably b/c there’s reports of it being loose; not as tight as previous years/models.
