Not sure if this is the place to put it but...

Here in Japan the only Apple commercials are for iTunes/iPod. No Computer commercials.

Does Apple show their current commercials (I'm a Mac. I'm a PC) outside the US?

Anyone have any hints on an International version of the series?

I haven't heard anything about a huge International push on Apple computer products (non-iPod). Just wondering if they had any plans...rumors...whatnot.

Apple UK's TV marketing budget is nearly 100% iPod. I don't think the current ads would work over here though. I find them more irritating than anything else, and I'm not even in the group they attack.

Odd, I watch a hell of a lot of TV and have yet to see an Apple ad outside of the "Sparks" and Wolfmother iPod ads.

Never seen one of the "I'm a Mac" ads, ever, on TV here and I watch way too much TV.

Now't in the UK beyond iPod adds. Don't know how well the great british public would take to the "I'm a mac" style.

Not surprising. By the time they've broadcast the news in 11 languages, it's time for closedown already :p

I haven't seen a single Mac ad in Taiwan, but i do know that they sell iMacs in stores not "Apple Retail". The computers are usually perched on a fabric black/gloss white podium for themselves. It looks pretty sexy.

Britain.
In the UK I've seen a few ads.

More recently iTunes and the Nano - never for the 'iPod'.

I remember a few years back, around Christmas time, I saw an advert for the G3 iMac - all the colours in a circle.

Dad bought me one about 8 months later, after we found out who the people were who ''made that fruity tooty computer'' :p

Here in Chile I havent seen any of them on TV, but I have seen them on the Apple Store.

Also, a big appartment store here in Chile copied the same commercial "concept" than Apple, but this time is the store vs. another store:p

Apple has opened 4 retail stores in Japan, you can find macs sold in many stores. But when you ask people if they have ever heard of a mac, they say "no".

We have tons of iTunes commercials and Nano promotions (win an iPod Nano). But no computers. Famous people will use them but never say that they are a mac. So people don't know what they are.

In Japan the "I'm a mac" wouldn't work without real Japanese star power and style. It has to be sold as the brand to have or the tool for dads.

So...in the thread "Apple will take over the world"...the world is just the US?
