With the Apple Card, when she spends money, the transaction is added my my view of the credit card, and it's a no-hassle way to keep tabs on monthly spending.
That's largely why I got my PayPal Cash Back MasterCard. It also has tracking in the PayPal app. I can't tell you how well that tracking works, as I haven't really used it yet. Unlike the Apple card's 2% cash back, the PayPal credit card only has 1.5% bash back. Surprisingly, the PayPal debit card gives 2% cash back (but I'd like to build a good credit history, and debit cards aren't so good for that).
The Apple Card was a tempting option for me, with the 2% cashback and the tracking in the Apple Wallet app, but I didn't go with it for a few reasons:
#1: My dad had the Apple card, but it didn't seem to support e-mail alerts (it's possible that Apple's added e-mail alerts).
#2: The Apple Wallet app (which the Apple card uses for tracking) is not available on Android, and I like my apps to work across operating systems.
#3: I use PayPal a lot anyway, so it made sense to go with their card.
Still, I have to give Apple credit! It seems that the Apple card inspired the PayPal card.
