The second quarter is rarely a good time for computer makers. Back-to-school buying won't get started in earnest for months, the holidays are half a year away—in both directions—and corporate IT budgets are still far from spent. But there's growing concern that this year's lull is hitting especially hard.

uh, not quite. there is a general slowdown in computer purchases overall.

When people wake up and realize that Apple can use BOTH Windoze and OSX on one elegantly designed computer, they are going to coming Mac running.

Buy aapl now. While you can.

well it is always a slow time of year right now for computer sells. Tech confercens are all coming (not just apples a lot happen around the same time just apples is the only one people really know about) product annoncemenst happen at the time.

Right now gradutation is over so those gifts are already boughten and the fall school sales have not start up yet. People will start buying them next month. Consumer credit is starting to tighten up and computers are a luxury item. The current ones people own will keep on working for what they need them to do so those replacements are down. The industry as a whole is down. Apple is down because the industry is down. Most people dont really follow apple or wait until the WWDC or really even know about it. This is just a slow time of the year for computers and it worse than normal due to money being short.

they're still not dead. it's not over yet for them. people thought chrysler was gone back in the early 1980s. people thought ibm was done for back in the early 1990s. they're both still around.
