I have no idea what you're asking, but, your teacher of a wife didn't teach you how to spell or type did she?
Remember she only teaches 2-3 year olds, which seems to fit the OP's attention span if not his spelling/typing ability. :p

Seriously, I tried reading that twice, but I can't for the life of me figure out what happened. Did you get the rebate without sending in the form+UPC codes and you're debating whether or not to tell Apple? Is that the question? I am very confused. Thank Jobs that Leopard will have grammar check system-wide.

Sounds like he used the EDU discount on the MB and iPod, but didn't send in the rebate (i.e. didn't really take advantage of the "free iPod" offer).

Seems to be a rant against rebates since he was too lazy to send it in (precisely what the stores and manufacturers are counting on...).

I think he forgot to send in the rebate, didn't get his money, and now wishes that it was an instant rebate instead.

EDIT: balamw can type faster then me... at least he recognized why stores use mail in rebates instead of instant rebates.

Any teacher/staff member of a school (K-12, college) can get an education discount.

Only students who are in college can get an education discount.

And yes, it's your fault if you did not send in the rebate. They gave you 30 days. If you couldn't find the time in 30 days to copy a few things and fill out a few papers, then you didn't care enough to get the rebate.

thats where rebates get you! ever wondered about why they give you rebates honey? its so that people 'forget' and therefore they don't loose anymore. having said that I've sent in my O2 rebate the day i got my bill, got a confirmation 2 weeks ago and still haven't got my 70 quid yet. at the end of the day may be ignoring the rebate factor and getting things at cost is what we should do.

also whats with all the "..." are we playing join the dots or something today?

Not really on topic, but does anybody know if the rebate + discount is available when visiting an Apple Store? Of course I expect to have to return home, print out forms & send them somewhere but you know what I mean.
