Strange but true. I posted the issues I was having with my macbook pro and how Apple Support were not willing to help replace it - and apple removed my post after an hour..

Makes you realise that we don't live in a democracy after all..

Technically, we live in a constitutional republic. I take it you are referring to the 1st amendment. I suggest you go read it.

OP: Get over it. Say that Apple is unfair all you like, but don't display your ignorance of what democracy and free speech actually is.

The Apple forums are not public. They are hosted on a private server. You have no - repeat no - democratic priviledges, legal rights or Constitutional guarantees (for the Yanks) to free speech or free expression or free publication on Apple's server, MacRumors' server or any other privately owned Web server.

Just like the newspaper is not obliged to print your letter to the editor, and if they choose to, they can edit it and you can't say 'boo' either way.

You want free speech? Pay for your own server account and speech away. Of course, you will also own the consequences if you publish libellous material.

Not really but we all know the games Apple plays at their sites, anyone remember those ibooks that apple insisted nothing was wrong? How many thousands and thousands of ibooks g3 did they replace and even started giving some folks the G4s before admitting a oops? They are as full of crap as any govt thats my point. Look at the heat sink compound issue going on. According to Apple it doesnt exist yet we have pictures of playdooh all over those things.

Just to clarify: Democracy merely means that people have the right to vote on issues and officials. It DOESN'T mean everything is up for vote, or that you have the right to freedom of speech (that is an aspect of many democracies, but not inherent in the system). It is also a political system, and has nothing whatsoever to do with whether you get censored on a private forum.
