Certain episodes of TV Shows on the iTunes UK store are now 40 pence cheaper at £1.49.

Let me be the first to congratulate you on your maths as £1.89 is not even cheaper than £1.49. This is old news as it has been like this since it opened man (The £1.89 ones not £1.49 the £1.49 ones are mainly crap hence low price).
