I just bought a refurb MBA a week ago, do you think Apple will refund me the difference? I've heard that they will with new laptops, but I haven't heard anything about refurbished. Also, the model I bought (11" w/ 4GB RAM) is not in stock right now.

I'm going to call after work. It's not a huge difference in price, but every little bit helps!

I'm sure they'll help you out. There's always a 14-day return policy if not. :) And the return might be a better answer, given that new models seem to be on the horizon!

Wow, they refused to price match, so I decided to return it. This was not part of my plans when I woke up this morning, hah!

I guess I'll wait to see what the new Air offers, and worst case scenario I'll buy back the same computer for $30 less. In the meantime, I'll have to get by on my 2006 Blackbook for a few more weeks.

Wow, really? That definitely contradicts their own stated policy. I'd try calling again and speaking with another rep perhaps...

Should Apple reduce its price on any shipped product within 14 calendar days of shipment, you may contact Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 to request a refund or credit of the difference between the price you were charged and the current selling price. To receive the refund or credit you must contact Apple within 14 calendar days of the price change.

Hmmm, interesting. The woman I spoke to said that it was not eligible because 1) it was refurbished, and 2) it was not in stock, so I couldn't prove that the price dropped on that model. The second point doesn't really make sense, and seems irrelevant if they don't do price matching for refurbished models anyway. Also, the policy that you linked to looks like it applies to all products.

I probably could follow up on it, but at this point I'm looking forward to seeing the new MBAs before I decide.
