Hope I am in the right forum area since most of the topic is about AirPods.

I had been wearing the Apple EarPods for two weeks now and it I feel pain only in my right ear. Does anyone experienced tis with the EarPods? Are the EarPods really that uncomfortable?

This means your right ear is different / pickier. I have the same thing with my ears. One of them is different then the other and hates anything in ear (headphones, ear plugs, etc)

My recommendation after years and years of headphones and ear plugs for concerts is either
  • return them and wait for the over the ear airpods ("Airpods Studio") or get another over the ear headphones (Sony XM4's if you want wireless/bluetooth and numerous options if you are ok with wired)
  • get memory foam tips for your Pros from Comply, Dekoni or some other brand (i recommend dekoni personally, i love them on my pro's and they last longer / are washable)
  • try a size smaller on your right ear if you can

For those of us with picky ears, sometimes a size smaller or bigger works in whatever ears being a pain, sometimes its the silicone that the tips are made out of just irritates our ear canal and other times its just that our ear shape / canal is weird and putting anything "standard" in their wont work and you have to either get a custom molding or hope memory foam tips will work. For me im lucky and memory foam tips FINALLY work. I hope your problem is easy to solve and I wish you good luck!

I use my gen 1 AirPods for 2 years on a daily basis.
About 99% of the time it’s going great.
But I discovered, every couple of weeks, sometimes months, my left or right ear hurt me, if I wear an AirPod.
The culprit there, is a pimple growing where the AirPods makes contact with my ear .
