I came across this article and it made me curious to see how many iPhone Pro models Apple sold in 2023. A Google search says Apple sold roughly 232M iPhones in 2023 and 46% of them were iPhone Pro models. That’s roughly 107M iPhone Pro and Pro Max sales. Apple basically expects the new iPad Pros to sell 8% of its iPhone counterparts.

Are we really surprised that Apple couldn’t care less about the iPad Pro’s since 2018? The amount of sales doesn’t warrant more R&D to make the software better. Anything more than the base iPad and iPad Air are is niche of a market. Even if Apple will not come out and say it, their actions and sales tell us that Apple is not about to make any meaningful changes to the iPad Pro lineup for the foreseeable future.
