Rogue Amoeba has betas of their most excellent apps on M1. I installed Airfoil, Audio Hijack, Loopback, Soundsource.
The process of allowing system extensions on M1 has become more arduous.
- Boot into recovery
- Set the system policy for a drive to allow user allowing extensions
- Reboot
- Allow extension vendor Preferences>Security and Privacy
- Reboot to rebuild cache
The Rogue Ameoba extension configured correctly, but I keep getting a cache error for an extension by Apple Inc.
All seems to work, but annoying.

Has anybody seen this? Any ideas?

Found the culprit despite a poor error msg. There was an Intel extension that had been added by a Canon installer.
Deleted it, cleared staging and rebuilt the cache. Bingo.

How did you end up finding this? I have a similar issue that started (I think) after I installed the Wacom tablet drivers. I've poured through System Information and removed what extensions I could see in /Library/Extensions but I can't seem to clear the extension cache error
