A geographical oddity
Ooooo....Graduation is over at 5. Do you think I can make the Baltimore to NYC run in an hour? Of course, maybe they can just send me a present and we'll call it even...

I would be SHOCKED if the macbook was not released at this event. Apple has to get it out soon for the college-bound kids, and what better time to do it! I bet Jobs makes an appearance, holds up the new MacBook for all to see, then cuts the red tape and lets people buy many Macbooks!

Stuff the MacBook, what I want is the 32' cube, draped in black fabric which is whipped away by a giant crane or even a helicopter to reveal Jobs, standing in the middle of it, big screens on every side of the cube showing him inside, with a small table in front of him with something under a black cloth which he then whips away to reveal the new CubeMac....

Oh t'would be a glorious day indeed!!!

Then he descends in the Great Glass Elevator to show off the store to all those waiting outside and walks up to the new MacBook display, revealing it's secrets to the gathering throng, then almost as an afterthought we get upgraded iPods across the range with cheaper prices and slightly higher capacity.

Then he lets everyone in and the real fun begins.

Now THAT would be an opening!!!

I wish I could go to the grand opening... but at least I'm going to the city soon.. well next month. :D

But I doubt I'd miss anything special at the grand opening other than a t-shirt anyways, it wont matter that I'm not going to the grand opening, although it would be so much cooler.

Sounds like a collision between a Cher concert and corporate fascism.

Why don't you just skip your graduation? :D

Not sure if I'll be going...free T-shirt's nice, but it's going to be packed (even by NYC standards), and I can't think of a thing to buy while I'm there.
