The new beta has apple file system. Obviously it's under the hood but have you guys noticed any performance or battery improvements??

I doubt you would see much improvement in performance in day to day use. I have had 10.3 since release and it's feels snappier in Safari than before but that's due to the app being updated, that's about it for me, everything else seems as good as before.

APFS from what I have read is also supposed to help increase NAND lifespan in comparison to HFS+. You'd probably see a more noticable improvement on the desktop side with large number of files being moved around and such, and having multiple copies of files where links to those files rather than copies would make a bigger difference. I mean there's a lot more to APFS than that but I am not very technical myself lol, so I'm sure others can correct me.

before i reverted back to 10.2.1, iphone 7 plus booted faster, gained a lot of free space (no it wasnt the temp cleaning of "other" data, stop saying that), single core score was quite a bit higher, multi core score was quite a bit higher.

i only reverted cause it breaks apps:

steam (doesnt log in if u log out)
esports (instant crash)
skype (doesnt go "online")

and probably many others out there..

Yeah, I thought it was a Steam issue, good to know I'm not the only one. I had issues with Apple 2 factor authentication when trying to setup my iPhone and iPad Air, after a full reset. I couldn't get passed entering my ID until I disabled 2 factor authentication first, or it would get stuck and eventually say verification failed. Overall everything else seems to be working fine so I will stick to it.
