Well I got a letter in the mail today and googled it a bit but didn't find a lot of information to see if it's actually legitimate or not. Does anyone have further information on this?

"Receive up to $37 Claim form Attached Claim Filing Deadline: June 10, 2009 etc.. etc..."

Is it legit or a scam/spam? Thanks.

I have a first-gen iPod nano that was purchased shortly after release and I didn't get anything...

I always rip up any let's-sue-Apple paperwork and throw it right into the recycle bin. I don't remember what the last one I received was about, but I don't think it was very recently. I rip them up because in my experience, Apple has been fair about replacing stuff when something in the manufacturing process or component supply chain goes awry. Like the logic board in my ibook that booted to black, and the batt recall.

How can you sue over scratches you put on your own Nano? Man, this country really IS going to hell in a handbasket. That's like suing a book company if you dogear the pages and their corners fall off..

My 1st gen Nanos are still shiny white and shiny black and very stylish (and very tuneful). I freely admit that I have failed to carry them home from the beach in a totebag full of sand or however people manage to scratch the things.
