The apple event sept 2023 logo kinda hints for a foldable iPhone.

I have looked at the fold-able androids on display and Best Buy and see the crease developing in the screen. Apple people would be going nuts if their screen had a crimp in the screen so Apple is playing it safe and avoiding the warranty carnage!

Probably not this year, but Apple will definitely be releasing foldables in the next few years which will be their flagship iphone, and people will go nuts for it even if they say they are not interested in it now.

I disagree with absolutist viewpoints, especially when others choose to do my thinking for me. If you are ever correct about foldables and me, you will never know. Because I will flat out lie to your face about it.

Im not being absolutist Eyoungren, people will always think for themselves, do their research and make their own decisions, but im just saying there will be a lot of people going for it just because it will be a new form of tech released by Apple, and will be the flagship device in the line up.

That's a little different statement than before (to my mind). I do disagree about Apple and a foldable and flagship, but I don't make those decisions so I can be totally wrong. Apple has made moves in the past that I didn't expect. Right now we both don't know what Apple is thinking.

But I do agree that there will be people changing their minds if this happens. I'm just not one of them and having been myself for 52 years (soon to be 53) I'm very unlikely to change my opinion.

Apple doesn’t even know what to do with an extra space on an Pro Max, or even an iPad. There’s no point in anything foldable before iOS is allowed to become more competent.

Still have my 12 PM and have no plans to upgrade this year....but if Apple does announce a foldable, I'm not gonna even lie....I will order one as soon as orders open up! I guarantee if this happens, it will be their biggest seller ever. Ya'll know I ain't lying....lol

I didn’t either until I saw the Magic V2.
Yep, the Honor Magic V2 is almost the same thickness as the 14 Pro Max when folded at 9.9mm, weights LESS, and has a larger battery. So the argument that foldables are bulky and heavy is going out the window fast.

I saw my first foldable yesterday at work. Some redneck-looking guy in the ER had one, which I thought was funny.

Is there a point if you don't do much content consumption on your phone (no streaming video, no games, and little to no social media)? I don't.

Foldables will remain a pointless gimmick until Apple figures out the complex engineering solutions needed to build a meaningfully useful experience.
Well Samsung have already done most of the leg work for them! Seriously though the main issue is the crease but the hinge seems to be sorted now.

Not true. The foldables you see today will quickly cease to exist when Apple brings its innovative technology and design experience to market. Samsung just rushed to market with a barely baked product that is horrible to use.

I'm not sure why anyone would seriously want a crease down the middle of their display.
