My Apple iPhone Air Frost Case is already yellowing on the buttons.

I keep my case in my pockets at work and wear khaki chinos, so it could be the dye from the fabric.

Anyone else experiencing this? Not a gripe, just surprised at how quickly it has happened…

Like older Apple Clear Cases, they always tend to yellow around the buttons.
This is especially noticeable on the Clear Case for iPhone Air, where the silicone buttons turn yellow even faster.

Apple switched to hard plastic buttons on the Clear Case for iPhone 17 Pro, which I think will help them stay clear much longer.

I noticed (when I had the Air) the buttons on the Air frost cases (both clear and smoked) were rubber and discoloured whereas the Pro 17 clear cases have plastic buttons that don’t yellow. I think the rubberised frosted interior finish of the Air cases is also used for the buttons which causes this issue on the clear version.

If you are able to swap the case for the grey smoked version then I don’t think this issue will be visible as those buttons essentially look black.

Every clear case I’ve ever had eventually yellowed, even if they are advertised “anti yellowing”. Clear cases look great when new and then absolutely gross after a few months.
