Apple Hardware Test using option D won't find WiFi

I have a mid 2011 Macbook air running 10.8.2 that I am having problems with and the technician at applecare suggested I run an Apple Hardware Test using option D when booting up. I get to the screen where I am to select the wifi network and my neighbors two wifi networks are there but mine is not. I clicked on the option to type in the name and password manually but that doesn't work either. Does anyone have any idea why my netgear router won't show up in the list?

Is your Netgear setup to broadcast it's SID/Name?
