iPod Apple has asked Intel to develop Light Peak?

I was just reading about this earlier. Theoretically if it all goes to plan data transmission could be in for a little bit of a speed increase

Have you seen the diagram about how it could be used to provide an external display to an iPod Touch/iPhone - I thought that could be pretty cool.

When/if it becomes the new standard, it could mean just taking a portable device out and about and sync'ing up to a display in a hotel room or something.
