Apple has lost its lead to Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in multi-core score. Should Apple add two extra CPU cores to its A19 Pro chip next year to equal the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4's 8-core CPU and reclaim the lead?

Nah, it’s a phone, where is anyone struggling with cpu power right now?

Pop open them IPads to some actual AAA games and oSX usage and then we’ll talk about “performance”.

Just my opinion of course.

Perhaps in a “DeX-mode”.

Don't think it matters yet, being that multitasking and background processes is much more regulated under iOS.

Yes. Just yesterday I was driving in a rural area with static, wishing I had more cores.

I'd prefer Apple works on efficiency instead of raw horsepower. Besides - not like QC is actually a competitor. Apple's phones are too "sticky" for it to matter outside of China.

I don’t think I am lacking any cores for the things I do. Also I am don’t hear many people (any?) saying the iPhones should have more performance?

I wonder if anyone actually buy a phone based on benchmarks?
