Is there any word on when these ($29 pair) will be shipping? I was hoping that they would go live when the store went down to update the MacBooks. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

yup, i was told sometime in october when I called the apple online store. they didn't know when exactly, but they said october. Well, it's november and it's still listed as coming soon, so now I really don't know when they're going to be releasing (and why it's taking so long).

There are already 247194+ threads on this subject; some with almost the same exact title.
About least three or four show up every few days.

And there has been no new information.
We can only hope that the only reason for this is the iPod touch and iPod classic need a software update.

I think that it is real joke. how possibly the product will never come after they officially announced almost three months ago? I think if it will be really coming out, it won't be this year. it will be out macworld 2009 or something.

Getting convinced now these are vapourware. Not even releasing a statement with a proposed new release date is really unproffessional.
