Anybody knows what this addition is about? I upgraded my Mac Pro to 10.12.4 Beta 2 tonight and noticed a new section called iBridge.

Nope. Have you asked on Anandtech/Netkas or the like?

I’d like to be able to say that it relates to a new Mac Pro with Apple version of Crossfire that works across AMD and Nvidia cards.

I think we may be disappointed that it ends up just a name for the touch bar. (There is a tailor made iOS chip to handle that bar. So, call it iBridge is possible indeed o_O)

It’s in the hardware section and that just makes me think it will be something properly useful.

Thank you @Plato65 This is definitely not something Mac Pro users were hoping for but it's good to know Apple has a $200 keyboard in the pipeline.

Which further validates the post on Pike's Blog, from 20th December.

Hardware support for TouchID is backed in on the motherboard, just like the new Macbook Pro, and the new keyboards will not work with current Mac models. It can also only power on/off the Mac that it is paired with.

First validation was Wireless charging on iPhone.

IMO, next year, we will see 20th anniversary of iMac, and Apple will, following previous events, provide new version of it, to "celebrate".

I will not be shocked if the iMac in question will have 8K display ;)

As for Mac Pro, we better prepare for new form factor.
