Yes, kind of. You would need to set up forwarding rules in the account for family@abc123.com. So whenever an email arrives it will forward it to your chosen addresses. The issue with forwarding in Apple mail is that there are no wildcards allowed. But if you think it through you can creatively ensure every email is forwarded.

You could also use the hide my email option instead.

Thanks.. So with the way you explained, Apple allows multiple email address to be forwarded to? How do you do that in the forward field?

I assume you are doing this to prevent your email address from being revealed, spam and so on? Would Apples hide my email not be a better option, or an easier one?

Can't see any other way than using rules, once the email arrives at family@doe.com you can only automate the transfer using a rule. I suspect that you could get away with a single rule:

So if an email is sent to family@doe.com it will forward to you and your wife. Given any email will always be sent To family@doe.com then every email will be forwarded to you both.

Only using macOS as an example as I am logged in, you would need to create the rule in iCloud for it to always work whether a device is on or off.

Doesn't appear to allow multiple emails in the forward box in iCloud, but just create 2 rules, one for you, one for Mrs.

Don‘t know if still relevant but I had the same question. I solved it with this.
created a second email adres for my own mailbox (family@doe.com) ( so I receive these emails)
created a rule on the server to forward emails send to family@doe.com to my wife
created a second rule to move the same emails to the folder family (jus for my sake to see these are family mails)

Hi there, I've got a similar issue and thought I would drop a note here.

I've been sharing my custom domain with my brother and sister for 20 years now.

Problem is, they are out of Apple's ecosystem, both having Android phones and Gmail accounts. So I cannot handle things natively through iCloud, but rather need to setup some sort of aliases.

Like you guys, I've set up rules, but they're not perfect.

My setup goes like this :

- we have 3 emails addresses : me@xxx.com / mybrother@xxx.com / mylittlesister@xxx.com

- the rules I've got are : transfer incoming emails to mybrother@xxx.com / mylittlesister@xxx.com to their respective Gmail addresses (that's 2 separate rules)

- sending incoming emails to mybrother@xxx.com / mylittlesister@xxx.com to trash (again, that's 2 separate rules)

Issues with this setup :

- Privacy : I get to have control over their inboxes and can read their emails

- We're a family, and sometimes receive emails where the 3 of us are copied. And when that happens, it's a mess. Not sure which rules is applied first, but my brothers and sisters won't receive the email (or sometimes I won't receive it).

Does anyone here would have any recommendation helping me handing this in a cleaner way ?

When my domain was handled by my registrar, I just had 3 email aliases and that's it...

Thanks !
