All of my iTunes music and video purchases have been made under my Apple ID using a gmail address. For iCloud, I use a .me address. If I purchase iTunes Match under my iCloud/.me account, will it match and allow me access to my iTunes/gmail account purchases that are stored on my computers HDD?

Yes, as long as your music is DRM-free it doesn't matter how and where you acquired it. There is one caveat though: If you want to use ad-free iTunes Radio, you need to be logged in in iTunes with the account that has the Match subscription.

Great. I can live with that. Thanks for the info!

Couldn't he/she just sign-up to iTunes Match using their iTunes Apple ID then to get around this, and have the best of both functions?
