Apple ID confirmation email

I registered for an Apple ID about 5 hours ago, and still haven't received a confirmation email. This means I can't download the free apps for my itouch.

Does anyone know what's wrong?

I have this problem with my itouch too, tried 5 email addresses and 2 computers both with up-to-date itunes and I have yet to receive a confirmation email. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you guys check your spam folder? Its not that common, but happens sometimes.

They are very slow. It took me 2 days to get the email.

There is a long standing issue with people bickering over iTouch vs. iPod Touch.

It derails the thread and as I have said previously it is getting really quite tiresome. We all know what the person means.

Actually, no. The glottal stop is there on purpose to emphasize that "iTouch" is not a recognized word.

This IS quite tiresome isn't it? If it's not "iTouch" then it's iPhone "2G". I know, that's not what you said...
